Big Overview of the Honor 30 Line
August 05, 2020
Back in spring 2020, Honor, a subsidiary of Huawei brand, began to deploy a new flagship line of smartphones - Honor 30. But the brand decided to go beyond the top devices and, showed a simplified version of Honor 30 Lite. The entire line-up consists of 5 smartphones, which increases the chances of a successful sales campaign for the manufacturer. In today's article, we would like to get acquainted with all the devices included in the line-up, so as to ensure that you know which device is best suitable for you.
Honor 30 Lite (Youth Edition) - Overview and Characteristics of the Phone on Mediatek
Let’s start with the most affordable device in the entire line. At first glance, the smartphone doesn't stand out from other inexpensive devices from competing companies, but its chip is Dimensity 800 processor from Mediatek. What does it give you? It is simple - support for 5G networks (SA and NSA). At the same time, the Dimensity 800 chip itself turned out to be very advanced - energy efficient due to the 7 nm process and powerful, thanks to the 4-core Cortex-A76 and gaming owning to the video core Mali-G57.
In general, the smartphone does not offer anything super special, but it is worth mentioning advantages in the form of a display with a usable area of more than 90% and a refresh rate of 90 Hz, 9-layer back glass and the presence of three cameras on the rear panel. See below for more detailed specifications.

Honor 30S - Overview and Features of the Sub Flagship on Kirin 820
Usually, smartphones with index "S" are more advanced, faster and more modern. However, Honor has a different view on device naming, so the model Honor 30S is weaker than the Honor 30. It is a sub-flagship rather than a top-level device.
The device do not have any special delicacies and boasts only a holographic surface of the back panel, no drop-shaped cut under the front camera and thin frames like in top smartphones. Under the hood of the device works Huawei Kirin 820 chip - this is a powerful solution, as well as energy efficient, because it is built according to the standards of 7-nm process. There is an ultra-fast charge up to 40 W (70% in 30 minutes). In other respects, the device does not differ much from the Honor 30 Lite, that is, it is its improved version, rather than a slightly simplified version of the Honor 30.

Honor 30 - Review and Characteristics of the Flagship of 2020
Honor 30 is available in two versions: Regular and Premium. However, as is often the case, the difference lies only in the amount of memory, which means that it is actually the same device. In appearance, the Honor 30 is a conventional frameless smartphone with a hole for the front of the display, as well as a vertical camera unit at the back. The body is a combination of tempered glass and metal. The fingerprint scanner is located under the display, not on the side edge, and all because of the OLED-display.
As for performance wise, it is excellent, though not the last chip Kirin 990 is used, but a slightly simplified version - Kirin 985. This solution differs from the top processor by the distribution of cores and the number of graphics blocks. Judging by benchmarks, the Kirin 985 is weaker than the Kirin 990, but about 25% and mostly due to a less powerful graphics block (there are fewer cores exactly half). Naturally, it's a game solution, but not a flagship one.
With cameras, Honor 30 everything is great: 40 MP basic module is complemented by 8 MP wide and 8 MP TV with 5x optical zoom + there is a macro camera for 2 MP. See below for more detailed specifications.

Honor 30 Pro and Honor 30 Pro+ - An Overview of the Best Camera Phones among the Flagships 2020
Honor 30 Pro and Pro+ do not differ in appearance, but they are very different from what the other Honor 30 line-up offer. First of all, the devices have an infinite waterfall screen. Secondly, both devices are equipped with a double front camera. Thirdly, the gadgets are the only ones in the range that have a really flagship iron based on the Huawei Kirin 990 processor.
Smartphones are different from each other and this is mainly true for cameras. Thus, if the usual Honor 30 Pro has a triple camera with 40 MP + 8 MP + 16 MP and a wide angle camera with no autofocus. The Honor 30 Pro+ cameras offer 50 MP + 8 MP + 16 MP and each module has autofocus. The Pro+ version also has wireless charging with 256GB of memory space. In other respects, they are identical, up to the point where the size of the body does not differ by a fraction of a millimetre. In general, this is a worthy rival to other flagship smartphones in 2020.
